Shark NV356 Lift-Away Vacuum Review

Shark Navigator Lift-Away Professional NV356E

Shark NV356 is not much different compared to NV360. Both models have almost identical specs and key features. But NV356 and NV360 have notable differences as well.

One of them is NV356 it has a slightly smaller canister. It is also easy to put together. Also, compared to other brands like Eureka, Shark NV356 is much quieter.

Its navigator is flexible. It can intensely clean both bare floors and carpets. Just like the NV360, this one also holds tons of dirt. It is also easy to manipulate.

Pros:

  • Approved by British Allergy Foundation.
  • Brushroll shutoff. Deep carpet and gentle bare floor cleaning.
  • Multi-level filtration. Multiple filters keep dust and allergens from escaping the vacuum as you clean your home.
  • Powerful and lightweight – Portable and versatile at 13.7 pounds.
  • Dusting brush.
  • Pet tool with spinning brush.
  • 8-inch crevice tool.
  • 30-feet cord.
  • The head has power roller to pound the carpet to release more dirt.
  • Handle with the stretch tube.
  • Canister opens up from both top and bottom.
  • Can also work completely flat under the bed.
  • Doesn’t clog up even if you have to vacuum dog hairs every day.

  • Very quiet.
  • Good for all types of floors.

Cons:

  • Not retractable cord.
  • No onboard storage for the accessories.
  • The head hugs the ground, so it doesn’t reach nearby dust that’s just outside its margins. That also means it doesn’t suck up the curtains or any other random items.
  • The brush head accessory has teeny, tiny short bristles, so it doesn’t do much.
  • No extension rod. When expanding the hose to reach further, the machine tips over.
  • There is a space between the base and the canister so it is easier to fall.
  • Wheels too small, make it wiggly.
  • Not good for those to have long haired pets and the same time looking for something that works for them.

Conclusion

Most of the comments from users depend on their personal experience and circumstances. They are not exactly disadvantages.

Some say the canister is big enough that they don’t have to keep on cleaning them up while using the vacuum cleaner. Others say they have to empty it up a few times in one vacuuming for a 2-story house.

Verdict: Shark NV360 vs NV356

The most important feature is the Anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology + Hepa filter. Good thing, both models have this feature (all Shark products actually do).

The NV356 has more disadvantages based on comments. But it doesn’t mean it has a much lower quality. Personally, I would say NV356 is a much newer version of NV360.

NV356 also gained a lot of positive comments from users so this is a must-try. Only, you have to set your own expectation when it comes to little details such as its length of the cord and the size of the canister.

I would say NV356 is perfect for medium-sized homes. Added bonus: Shark has a really great customer service. All your complaints are guaranteed to be handled accordingly.
